Podcast: Technology Choices

Dan:

GO product.

Christy:

We change our name from Lighthouse London to Three Less Than Seven Signals because there’s four of us. Three Less Than Seven Signals.

Dan:

It doesn’t exist as a name any more they’re just called Basecamp now.

Christy:

And we’re called Three Less Than Seven Signals.

Dan:

Then what you want to do product?

Christy:

I want the name. I don’t want to start a lot of projects and not finish any because I really enjoy that.

Dan:

Products is start in one project and never finishing it.

Christy:

Right. Right, but we’re going to start lots.

Dan:

Or if it finishes you’ve got a problem. Its going out of business.

Christy:

Oh Yeah.

Dan:

We could do that. We could specialize in just starting projects that would be actually quite awesome.

Christy:

Getting them out that would be all hands on.

Dan:

That would be our thing.

Christy:

Yeah.

Dan:

That will be our methodology. We don’t finish it.

Christy:

We’re the Wal-Mart fact that no one likes.

Dan:

We just leave you with a half finished project and then we could somehow sell that that was a highly effective thing to do for your business because of the panic it would induce. Just like one day we’ll randomly stop working on your project and not contact you anymore and the panic that that would induce in you would actually really be good for your business. You quit your source of developer. You get them on and you drive it forward.

Christy:

This is good. I mean the other side of it.

Dan:

You just disappears one day.

Christy:

The other side of it is the whole kind of. Figure out for a project. Keep throwing them at the wall.

Dan:

You want to be like an idea generation?

Christy:

Yeah and then we just say its Facebook.

Dan:

Happy to. Absolutely happy to.

Christy:

Yeah, that’s that.
