Co-founder and lots of other things
I used to be billed as “the developer” but slowly the lines of code have reduced and the meetings and workshops have increased. It’s the classic path from development to management; I’ve quite enjoyed it.
My role is to define projects and understand what clients need from us. I’m always pushing to find new ways of working to help the team deliver better and better results.
Outside the office I enjoy sports, music and trying to understand my 2 year old son.
Co-founder and self-appointed office interior designer
Part designer, part a bit of everything else that comes with running an agency. I’ve been building websites since 1998, which feels like a long time now I think about it.
I tend to get involved once the wheels are in motion and we’re designing and building. I’m all about getting everyone to work neatly together to push awesome products out the door.
I’m a chilli sauce addict and a self-confessed vinyl junkie. Despite my obsession with all things music, I’d be kidding myself if I claimed I could still play my guitar with any skill. That said, I will destroy you at karaoke. Maybe.
Captain Code, you'll find me on the bridge
After finishing a degree in Computer Science I found myself in the arms of Dan and Tom. Needless to say, since then, Lighthouse has gone from strength to strength.
The MVP is my domain. I’ll work with you to define your idea, architect the experience and implement the full product.
Every day, since I started working for Lighthouse, I have made and eaten a ham, cheese and pickle sandwich. It’d just be weird to stop now.
Design lead and storyteller of screens.
When a project lands at Lighthouse, I’ll translate your ideas into an experience that people find irresistible.
I’ve been doing so for the best part of a decade – designing for mammoth financial institutes and publishing companies through to education, dentistry and travel.
Christy and I had known each other for years before we started working at Lighthouse, and we fit perfectly into the strictly-best-mates hiring policy that the company owes its success to.
I’m also a huge drum and bass enthusiast and Chess devotee, which makes for a rare venn diagram overlap.
Product Manager, prototyper and general do-er of things
I get involved in the early stages of companies we work with – defining a problem and exploring solutions. I help to build up a good business case and then specify where the tech will come in; what to build, when, and how.
I joined Lighthouse after running two of my own startups – I have gone through one of the best accelerators in Europe, sold lots of meals to hungry Geordies and Londoners, raised money on equity, and learnt a huge amount in the process of unfortunately losing it all…
Since joining, I have been peer-pressured into taking up Squash again, listening to Drum N Bass, and appreciating hot sauces. These have enriched me and I consider myself all the better for it.
Design and adventure!
After mastering design and typography working in book publishing, I realised that print was passé and reunited with the screen. Drawing, branding, and making and breaking a grid always makes me happy, no matter the medium.
At Lighthouse I turn ideas into visuals. I spend most of the days here matching colour with type, crafting layouts and designing engaging experiences for users.
I love high resolutions and higher mountains. Sometimes that means discovering a new Sketch plugin, other times it means being 2500m above sea level surrounded by 34 wild bulls.
All about the front end
I have always had a love of building things. Before becoming a developer I spent my time building brands. Whether it be revamping brands for film festivals, creating new ones for start-ups or relaunching old music platforms I’ve worked across it all.
As a front-end developer I’ll bring your product’s designs to life and add all the extra touches to make interactions seamless. I’ll make sure your ideas are beautifully and robustly executed.
I’m obsessed with modernist architecture and dream of building my own glass box one day. I also love growing plants and recently opened a bee hotel on my balcony but my biggest passion is pick ‘n’ mix – so many flavours!
AM to PM
I started off my trek down the digital track as an Account Manager, after finding out I was pretty adept at managing projects as well as lovely clients. I’ve since forayed into the realm of Project Management and Business Analysis.
I’ll be working with you to make sure that everything runs smoothly with your projects, from start to finish with as much or as little non-shop chat as you fancy alongside. I’ve worked with everything from start-ups through to multinational corporations so I’m happy to chat with everyone within a project; from fresh-starting interns to c-suite execs.
I love a good video game in my spare time and aside from that you’ll find me continuing my quest to discover the best scotch egg in London (pints optional).
